| British Telephone Leg Tub Faucet Installation Instructions |
| British Telephone leg tub faucets should be installed by a qualified, licensed plumber. Please use teflon tape on all threaded connections. Use epoxy when attaching the threaded nipples to the deck mount couplers as these threads are straight, running thread. This becomes a permanent connection. |
Shut off the water supply valves before installation. |
Loosen the nuts to make the swing arm couplers and the deck mount couplers adjustable. Connect the shorter threaded ends of nipples to the deck mount couplers. Insert the faucet through the 2 holes in the deck. Screw the lock nuts onto the threaded nipples and tighten. |
Tighten the nuts of the swing arm couplers to the faucet body and of the deck mount couplers to the swing arms. |
Slip the cone washer and brass nuts onto the supply lines. Insert the supply line into the nipples and tighten the brass nuts. |
Place the washer (#P144I-5) inside the brass nut at the bottom of the cradle (#P144I-1), then connect the cradle to the faucet. Tighten the nut (#P144I-2). |
Attach the hose (#P144-1) to the outlet of the cradle and to the hand shower. Place the hand shower on the cradle. If the optional anti-siphon valve is ordered, insert it between the cradle and the hose. |
Make no adjustments to valves or valve stems. They are tested at the factory for optimum performance. |
| Maintenance Tip: To replace washers, turn of the water to the faucet. Remove the handle and the bonnet nut. That will expose a hex nut. Making sure that the valve is in the middle position, turn the hex nut counterclockwise and remove the valve stem. Replace the bib washer and place a drop of threadlock on the screw to insure that the screw will not back out with faucet vibration. Making sure that the valve is open, insert the valve stem into the faucet body and tighten the hex. Reinstall the bonnet nut and the handle. |
